On Memorial Day weekend, the Coca-Cola 600 runs 600 miles, the longest race on the NASCAR Cup calendar. Charlotte Motor Speedway can hold 95,000 people, and many of them have waited all year for that Sunday. The speedway spreads over nearly 2,000 acres of tracks and grounds in Concord. Next to the 1.5-mile oval, you will also find a dirt track and a drag strip.
Once you reserve our private transportation to Charlotte Motor Speedway, we take you from your door to the entrance and home again. You get to watch every lap; the drive before and after is our job.
Dozens of events fill the calendar besides the two Cup races. You can book us for any race day or other sporting event on the grounds.
The 600 closes a holiday weekend that also includes Truck Series and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races. The Bank of America 400 brings the Cup Series back in October.
In spring, you can watch four cars launch at once at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals. The event takes place at zMAX Dragway, the first drag strip in the world with four racing lanes. AutoFair follows in April, with more than 50 car clubs, rare specialty vehicles, and a large flea market. Whatever you buy there goes home with you in the vehicle. Next door, The Dirt Track at Charlotte seats 14,000 for World of Outlaws sprint cars and late models each fall.
From late November into early January, Speedway Christmas runs a drive-through holiday light show on the oval, pit road, and infield road course. Buses can enter the show, so we can take your whole group through in one vehicle while the synchronized music plays on 101.3 FM. Fridays and Saturdays in December draw the longest lines, so a Thursday or Sunday night usually means a shorter wait at the entrance.
If you fly in, we can meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel or straight to the grounds. Charlotte Douglas International Airport sits about 20 miles southwest of the track.
On NASCAR weekends, officials ask fans to arrive about two hours before the green flag. We follow that advice when we agree on a departure time with you, and we also take these road details into account:
We choose between those routes once we see the traffic that afternoon.
For a first 600, especially if you don’t know Concord, the end of the night is what makes many fans nervous. Nearly everyone leaves in the dark at once, and every lot looks the same.
Before you go inside, we choose a meeting spot with you, and your chauffeur’s cell number is already on your phone. If you lose sight of that spot, a call to our office reaches a person day or night, even after a late finish.
Some groups come for all three races of the 600 weekend, and we can set up our Charlotte Motor Speedway private shuttle from their hotel. We make shuttle runs between the hotel and the track on all three days, at the times the group picks.
On the Sunday of the 600, we can leave earlier for the pre-race concert and the Salute the Troops show. On an open afternoon, we can take everyone on a tour of uptown that includes the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Your headcount narrows the choice, and these three options from our fleet range from 10 to 56 people:
We book vehicles on availability, so for the Coca-Cola 600, it helps to reserve soon after you buy your tickets.
Since 2007, A Step Above Limousine Service has served clients across the region. We run our Charlotte Motor Speedway private transportation for one race or the full weekend, whichever your tickets cover. When the 600 ends, the lots around Concord empty one row at a time. By then, we are already waiting for you, with the lights over the frontstretch still on behind you.
Reviews tell you what the day felt like from the back seat, and here is how one client put it on Google: “Ambi was a great driver and very attentive to our needs while being transported to and from the Charlotte Motor Speedway.” (Diana A.)
You can reach us through our quote form with your race dates, or by phone at (704) 605-1108 and email at info@astepabovelimo.com. Any of the three will reach our office.
