Concerts here mostly start between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., though start times vary by artist and tour, putting most parties through the doors by 6:15 p.m. if dinner comes first. Hornets tip-off usually lands around 7 p.m. too, though nationally televised games push later into the evening. The return trip is harder to pin down, since a concert rarely wraps up on the dot and a Hornets game runs on the final buzzer instead of a printed time. Not every booking starts in Uptown. Some begin at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, about 8 miles from the arena. The drive runs about 13 minutes on I-77 outside rush hour, though it stretches longer once afternoon traffic backs up near the airport exits. Fans flying in for a Hornets homestand or a concert weekend usually route through a hotel, then head into Uptown. Airport pickups run on the same reserved vehicle model as the arena trip, so switching between the two legs never means a second reservation.

Where Do We Meet You After a Spectrum Center Event?

A show or game that runs long doesn’t cut the reservation short. Waiting time gets billed by the full hour, so the return trip holds whether the encore runs ten minutes or forty.
